Privacy statement
In effect 17 August 2026
This statement covers Crimptech and the pages on this website. It describes the personal data Crimptech holds, the purposes of processing and the requests available to data subjects.
01
Controller
Crimptech is the controller for the personal data described here. The address and registration details are in the footer of every page. Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@crimptech.nl.
02
Data collected by this website
These pages run no analytics, no tracking scripts and no advertising tags, and they set no cookies of their own. The contact form collects the requested service, submitted name, company where given, email address, phone number where given and message. It sends the enquiry to the application at app.crimptech.nl, where the record is stored and forwarded to Crimptech by email.
The video playback preference remains in the browser and is not sent to a server. Its storage is described in the cookie statement.
Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs, including the IP address a request came from, which is necessary to operate and secure a website. Those logs are held by the provider under our instructions and no profile is built from them.
03
Enquiries and correspondence
For enquiries through the contact form, email or telephone, Crimptech holds the information provided: the correspondent's name, contact details, any attached drawing or specification, and the correspondence itself. This information is used to answer the enquiry and quote the work.
The lawful basis is the steps taken at the data subject's request before entering a contract, together with Crimptech's legitimate interest in answering an enquiry received.
04
The quote application
The quote flow runs in a separate application at app.crimptech.nl. It holds the account and uploaded files, and states what it processes and on what basis.
Its sign-in cookies are scoped to crimptech.nl as a whole, so a browser used to sign in retains them on this website as well. Our cookie statement names them.
05
The challenge on the contact form
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes a submission made by a person from one made by a script. It loads when the contact form is enabled and opened. Its script may remain loaded after navigation to another page during the same visit.
Cloudflare receives the visitor's IP address and browser information to perform that check. It acts as our processor for that purpose alone. The check carries no advertising and no analytics, and a visitor who does not open an enabled contact form does not load it.
06
The map on the contact page
The contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap, which is loaded only when the visitor scrolls to it. OpenStreetMap's servers receive the visitor's IP address when the map is delivered. It sets no cookies and performs no profiling.
07
Recipients
Personal data is disclosed to our processors, which at present are our hosting provider, our email provider, and Cloudflare for the contact form's challenge. It is not sold and is not shared for the marketing purposes of any third party.
Manufacturing partners receive what a part needs: a drawing, a specification and a quantity. Contact details remain with Crimptech unless the contact requests an introduction.
08
Retention
Correspondence that did not lead to an order is kept while it is useful to the enquiry and then deleted. Records attached to an order are kept for as long as Dutch tax and company law requires.
09
Data subject rights
Data subjects can request a copy of their personal data held by Crimptech, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. They can also object to processing based on a legitimate interest.
Requests can be sent to info@crimptech.nl. Crimptech answers within one month. A data subject dissatisfied with the response can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch supervisory authority.

Amendments
